![]() ![]() ![]() To get the printers connected to my new Fiber router I daisy chained a Cat-6 from the two ports in the old DSL modem room to connect the wiring from my room to the garage, then connected a Cat-6 from my Fiber modem to the port in the room that connects to the room where the Daisy Chained ports are that feed to the garage (I hope this makes sense.) The Printer and Cutter are then connected via a Cat-6 to an Unmanaged Ethernet Switch that is connected to the port that leads through the network of cables I mentioned previously. ![]() Used to have DSL internet and a modem connected in a different room than the current modem and from that room there were ports / cables running from that room to the Garage where the Printer and Cutter are, as well as from that room to the room where the PC and new Router is for Fiber. I've kind of "ghetto-rigged" a solution together to connect them to my network. The PC I'm using as the RIP Server and Editing Station is in a separate room than the printers, the PC and the Router / Modem are in one room, the Printer and Cutter are in my Garage. ![]() I'm 99% positive that it's setup correctly physically I just worry about the Software / Networking side. With the help of some buddies, I setup the printer and cutter without professional help and it went smooth. 3-4 weeks till I start my training or 3-4 weeks till they schedule it? They never specified or seem interested in helping anyway. I'm still waiting for my training they said it's at least another 3-4 weeks till, which I don't get. I recently purchased a Epson S80600 and a Summa S2 T160 Tangential Cutter to get into print and cut and was pretty much left on my own by the distributor after delivery. Hello fellow r/CommercialPrinting Redditors, I could really use your help. ![]()
